Capabilities

Capabilities

Nordis delivers capabilities across defence and civil applications — powered by a common integrated platform. Each capability can be engaged independently or as part of an end-to-end development and fielding pipeline. Built to align with Canada's dual-use defence industrial strategy and NATO interoperability requirements.

01
Simulation & Evaluation

High-fidelity simulation environment for validating system performance before hardware exists. Enables rapid iteration across vehicle, sensor, and autonomy configurations with full scenario control. Supplier models integrate as sealed plugins or standard FMI FMUs — no source hand-over.

02
Operations Research & Mission Analysis

Define the problem before building the solution. Model mission requirements, fleet sizing, coverage optimization, and performance trade spaces to inform what gets built and why.

Defence Force structure analysis, mission envelope definition
Civil Search and rescue fleet sizing, forestry survey coverage optimization
03
Mission Planning & Deployment

In development: intuitive tools for translating operational objectives into executable missions, built toward collaborative autonomy in GPS-denied and contested environments — for both defence and civil operations.

Defence Autonomous patrol coordination, contested environment navigation
Civil Disaster response deployment, under-canopy mapping, post-event survey
04
Design Optimization

Hardware and software co-design across the full vehicle development cycle. Rigorous, physics-based optimization methods applied to find the best solution within real operational constraints — from mission specification to a buildable airframe and a validated stability and control model.

Defence Mission-specific platform optimization, GNC algorithm development
Civil Endurance and payload optimization for survey and logistics applications

05
Warfighter & Operator Training

Operators train in the loop on the tools they already field — TAK situational-awareness clients connect directly to the live simulation — and every session replays deterministically for after-action review. The same environment that informs design closes the loop into training.

06
Autonomous Vehicle Production

The integrated platform is the foundation for Nordis to design, prototype, and produce its own autonomous vehicles — purpose-built for the missions the platform defines. From first simulation to fielded hardware.

Defence Sovereign Canadian autonomous platforms for allied procurement
Civil Purpose-built vehicles for public safety, environmental, and logistics applications

Each capability stands alone. Together they close the loop from concept to operational deployment — compressing development timelines and reducing the cost of fielding capable autonomous systems.

Demonstrations

See It Running

Every demonstration is produced from an actual run of the platform — a simulation replayed from its log, a design pipeline executed end to end, a study campaign run to completion. New demonstrations are added as they are published.

01 · SIMULATION
Raid Engagement

A multi-aircraft raid against a defended area — sensing, track fusion, and command-and-control in one deterministic run, with an interactive replay player.

02 · DESIGN PIPELINE
Mission Params In → Aircraft Design Out

A mission specification goes in; an optimized, characterized aircraft comes out — the optimizer evolving the geometry generation by generation.

03 · STUDY
Perimeter Sensing Requirements

What sensor performance does a perimeter need to detect a small UAS early and hold its track? A 2,239-run campaign over public performance bands answers with a mesh spacing bound, a radar cue standoff, continuity limits, and the handoff.

04 · VOCIS
Clinical Dictation

A full urgent-care encounter dictated naturally — the engine retrieves exam templates as they are described, fills their fields from the speech, and assembles the note live, including a mid-dictation correction. Recognition is entirely on-device.

Vocis
Secure Language Intelligence

In high-stakes environments, the accuracy and security of spoken information matters as much as the decision it informs.

Vocis is a private, on-device platform for voice transcription and structured documentation — with no data leaving the local environment. The finished note goes into any text field the provider already uses, with no integration project, no app to install, and no vendor cooperation required.

Designed initially for clinical and medical applications where transcript integrity and patient privacy are non-negotiable — audio never leaves the device — the platform is domain-agnostic and applicable wherever sensitive voice intelligence requires secure handling.

About Nordis

Nordis is a Canadian technology company building the integrated software platform for autonomous systems development — spanning defence, public safety, and environmental applications — and the tools to deploy them.

Founded by a military veteran and defence engineer who spent a decade inside the primes — now closing the gap between simulation, design, and deployment.

We are based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and built from the ground up to serve Canada and its allied partners.
